SAN JOSE, Calif., April 17, 2010 – Truly Organic Baking, LLC, a Women's Business Enterprise Certified owned company, has been selected as a Silver Finalist for Outstanding USDA-Approved Organic Product in the 2010 sofi™ Awards. The sofi™ Awards recognize excellence in specialty foods and beverages and are a coveted industry honor. "sofi ™" stands for Specialty Outstanding Food Innovation. Truly Organic Baking Bakers Basics™ Banana Bread Mix, was one of 125 Silver Finalists selected by a national panel of specialty food experts from 1,570 contenders across 31 Awards categories. Gold Winners will be announced in a red-carpet ceremony June 28 at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York.
Truly Organic Baking, LLC was created in September 2006 and launched in May of 2007 at the All Things Organic Trade Show in Chicago, IL. Kari Ani Shiozawa, Founder & CEO, exhibited again in 2008. In 2009, Truly Organic Baking became a Member of N.A.S.F.T. (National Association Specialty Food Trade). Truly Organic Baking and Shiozawa, created quite an Organic buzz when exhibiting at her first Fancy Food Show in June of 2009 in New York City. This Organic buzz continued when she exhibited at her second Fancy Food Show in San Francisco in January 2010. Truly Organic Baking offers their finest Organic and Kosher certified Baking products in Retail, Food Service, Private Label and Club Size.
Truly Organic Baking products were first available at Whole Foods Market in Campbell, CA October 2007. Now, less than three years later, these innovative Organic Baking products are being featured at major national league industry locations such as; Safeway National, Amazon.com and Costco Wholesale (Los Angeles and Hawaii Regions). This is a first for Costco, as Truly Organic Baking is the inaugural Supplier of Organic Banana Bread Mix.
